Just A Thought
They say "black is a state of mind", and for this, I agree. For the longest, we were Negro's. There's nothing derogatory about the name. It's not nigger, monkey, jigga-boo, or anything to that nature. It was just a term, like white. It identifies us (like we aren't already able to be identified). I am not African American. I learned that I am a descendant of George Washington, yea, the 1st president. Even then, that guy wasn't American. (Check your history books) I am Tiffany. A girl who has one hell of a personality. I am a girl who doesn't like too many people. I am a girl who wants to make a difference. I am a girl who wants to be something other than "that black girl". When people see me, I want them to know that I stand for more than just Affirmative Action. I am somebody who informs MYSELF and doesn't need a handout from anybody. I live by the saying, "If you want someting done, do it you damn self!" It's a saying that holds true to and for anybody, who gives a hell what color you are. All these are just my words. You know, it's just a thought....
